Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido

Muso jikiden eishin ryu goes back to shimmei muso ryu which was developed in the 16th century by Hayashizaki Jinsuke Shigenobu (approx. 1560 - 1621). Later on, shimmei muso ryu split in two branches: Shinomura ha, which became muso shinden ryu and tanimura ha, which turned into muso jikiden eishin ryu. Through the centuries, muso jikiden eishin ryu took in the teachings of different masters. Eishin ryu or chuden (middle level) was introduced by Hasegawa Chikaranosuke Eishin. Hayashi Rokudaya Morimasa, who studied shinkage ryu under Omori Rokurosaemon, added omori ryu or shoden (lower level).
